The corner led MasterBets's Gong Zhi Peng to fire away a dangerous shot which Bogdan Lobonț despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gigel Zăvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Emerald's Gabriel Mălaimare was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gigel Zăvoiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gigel Zăvoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 41st minute of play forced MasterBets's goalkeeper Gigel Zăvoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Emerald booed when MasterBets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Zogreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Piţurcă to make the kick off. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ferdinand Condrea hit a great ball. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by MasterBets's Constantin Costăchescu. But to his dismay, Constantin Costăchescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. MasterBets made a substitution. Thor Reyes replaced Robert Aurelianu. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Gabriel Vermeşan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Francis Coppola was slow to take the kick. During this time MasterBets's players had a chance to rest. Bogdan Lobonț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Iriza's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Francis Coppola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of MasterBets's Gigel Zăvoiu. Gigel Zăvoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MasterBets fans cheered their team off the field, for while Emerald had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
