The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Volkan Demirel came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC GURZUN's Albert Finteșteanu. But to his dismay, Albert Finteșteanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to FC GURZUN getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Albert Finteșteanu hit a great ball. Volkan Demirel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Trapcea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. TunaFC's Volkan Demirel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save TunaFC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, TunaFC's Volkan Demirel got control of the ball when Valentin Urdăreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the TunaFC defense, Albert Finteșteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Volkan Demirel. The TunaFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Volkan Demirel should have stopped the shot. Volkan Demirel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Finteșteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, TunaFC's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Urdăreanu. The crowd rose to their feet as FC GURZUN's Iustinian Drăghincescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Volkan Demirel. That made the score 3-0 after 19 minutes of play. Volkan Demirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Drăghincescu in the 24th minute of the match. If Saruhan Bal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Urdăreanu got free with Volkan Demirel in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Volkan Demirel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristinel Trapcea in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Valentin Urdăreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Volkan Demirel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Urdăreanu made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Finteșteanu in the 54th minute of play forced TunaFC's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustinian Drăghincescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Volkan Demirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Finteșteanu in the 61st minute of the match. FC GURZUN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TunaFC the free kick. After 71 played minutes FC GURZUN got a freekick which was hit by Gică Oros. Volkan Demirel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Drăghincescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th match minute, TunaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çakır Şiraz to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th match minute, TunaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edip Kelami to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Albert Finteșteanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC GURZUN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The audience was convinced that Çakır Şiraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cătălin Dăianu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, TunaFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Cretan came free, but Volkan Demirel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of TunaFC booed when FC GURZUN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Oros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volkan Demirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Finteșteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Drăghincescu in the 95th minute of play forced TunaFC's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that FC GURZUN were the better team. FC GURZUN's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
