In the 47th minute of the match Horácio Soares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benji Price skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Pernambucano was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Juninho Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdemar de Moraes was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Juninho Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Juninho Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Juninho Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Valdemar de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Newpi Academy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
