The tension between the Ekedalen SK and the Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Ekedalen SK got a freekick which was hit by Alvin Heggert. 31 minutes into the game, Ekedalen SK's Uno Åkesson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Recife made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Nilton Soeiro scored 2-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Hendrix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Ekedalen SK were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Tuste to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Elano Soares. Hjalmar Nyman hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Palmeiras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Sten Hagberg scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Augusto Recife, making the score, 2-4. After 74 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Moura. Walter White sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Ekedalen SK's Sten Hagberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Hagberg in the 86th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sten Hagberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
