Francis Calmes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Fenici in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, UFC STEAUA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palmiro Mourinho to maneuver through the defense. Costică Petran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliusz Winograd, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Bartosz Olejarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costică Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Jobo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Aureliusz Winograd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Ekipa Gabi's goalkeeper Francis Calmes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Mendoza. Francis Calmes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Fenici in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the UFC STEAUA defense, Lukasz Wawro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costică Petran. The UFC STEAUA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costică Petran should have stopped the shot. Emil Alexa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francis Calmes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Albert Hodorog got a free kick in the 36th minute. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Ekipa Gabi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Debkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Nelson Mendoza in the 39th minute really tested Francis Calmes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Mendoza in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francis Calmes saved Ekipa Gabi from getting behind. After 43 minutes Ekipa Gabi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nelson Mendoza who took care of the corner kick. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ekipa Gabi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nelson Mendoza was slow to take the kick. During this time UFC STEAUA's players had a chance to rest. Emil Alexa made a great header on UFC STEAUA's corner, it was just that Ekipa Gabi's Francis Calmes managed to reach the ball for a save.

In the 51st minute, Nistor Fenici made a precise shot to the right of Francis Calmes. Ekipa Gabi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ekipa Gabi's Ryszard Blicharz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Nelson Mendoza put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Francis Calmes. Francis Calmes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Ekipa Gabi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boguslaw Oryl to maneuver through the defense. Nelson Mendoza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ekipa Gabi booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Jobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Emil Alexa. 81 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Winograd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Costică Petran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emil Alexa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Francis Calmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ekipa Gabi's 俞霖广 got a free kick in the 86th minute. Francis Calmes came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Emil Alexa. But to his dismay, Emil Alexa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Ekipa Gabi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. 俞霖广 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francis Calmes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Mendoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that UFC STEAUA were the better team. UFC STEAUA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
