Giancarlo Beltrán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Eate in the 14th minute of play. Jaime Villegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Oyarzabal in the 20th minute. Giancarlo Beltrán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Eate, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after CDU Católica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serafin Charro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Cavaliers FC's corner Serafin Charro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Giancarlo Beltrán quite easily take care of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Higinio Eate notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of CDU Católica's Giancarlo Beltrán. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Cuenca in the 66th minute of play forced CDU Católica's goalkeeper Giancarlo Beltrán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Eate blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giancarlo Beltrán having to make a save. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Mauricio Kusko replaced Serafin Charro. After 69 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Cuenca. In the 74th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Melquiades Jakue went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Mauricio Kusko almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CDU Católica's Giancarlo Beltrán did a great save. Melquiades Jakue charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Jakue the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giancarlo Beltrán. That made the score 0-9 after 85 minutes of play. When Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CDU Católica's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Eate got free with Giancarlo Beltrán in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 94 played minutes CDU Católica got a freekick which was hit by Jose Ramon Delpiano.
