In the 13th minute Jonathan Oyarzabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Ribota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Giancarlo Cervantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CDU Católica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giancarlo Cervantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to CDU Católica getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jose Ramon Delpiano hit a great ball. Dayam Carces took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giancarlo Beltrán. CDU Católica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Giancarlo Cervantes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Ribota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giancarlo Cervantes ran back to his position shaking his head. Ireno Helo charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ireno Helo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes CDU Católica got a freekick which was hit by Ireno Helo. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jonathan Oyarzabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. CDU Católica's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Oyarzabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Ribota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giancarlo Cervantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Clemente Ribota made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Oyarzabal to make the kick off. The supporters of AJ Juventus FC booed when CDU Católica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Ramon Delpiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huly Francia in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giancarlo Beltrán, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Clemente Ribota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giancarlo Cervantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elia Rabago lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 56th minute, Elia Rabago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Ribota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giancarlo Cervantes in the 59th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, AJ Juventus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Oyarzabal came free, but Clemente Ribota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AJ Juventus FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dayam Carces managed to get in a good position for a shot. AJ Juventus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dayam Carces was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giancarlo Beltrán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, AJ Juventus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Oyarzabal came free, but Clemente Ribota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Oyarzabal in the 90th minute of play forced AJ Juventus FC's goalkeeper Clemente Ribota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, AJ Juventus FC's Huly Francia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AJ Juventus FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
