Gino Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingmar Danielsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Urtungo got free with Ingmar Danielsson in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ingmar Danielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salim Adas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Säv in the 24th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Gino Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the De Boedo Vengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Custódio couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gino Custódio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingmar Danielsson was relentless in the 58th minute of the game.
