Bernardo Ado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ove Damm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ove Damm came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Ildefonso Balesio. But to his dismay, Ildefonso Balesio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Estudiantes de América's Adrian Ospetsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Kjellbom in the 21st minute of play. Bernardo Ado struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ove Damm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes de América. Adrian Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Åman in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Balesio to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Jan Åman made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Ospetsu. Estudiantes de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ildefonso Balesio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Elvio Paublo hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Balesio made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Gotham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Månsson to maneuver through the defense. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Ciro Arlo replaced Eustacio Rito. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Balesio got free with Ove Damm in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Rolando Erasto got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jan Åman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Ospetsu having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Paublo. In the 81st minute Melchor Evarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Melchor Evarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de América and the Gotham City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Gotham City's Joakim Månsson tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
