Hjalmar Hohenstein's late challenge caught a Birmingham Railers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hjalmar Hohenstein helped the player get up and apologised. Hjalmar Hohenstein kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Salomon Barild showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Forlan in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to FC GILSAA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joachim Elster hit a great ball. If Luiz Paulo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Hohenstein in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Railers FC's Caio Valladares got a free kick in the 34th minute. Hjalmar Hohenstein got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gonçalo Monteiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abraham Lilliendorf to make the kick off. Eilif Hjordkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eilif Hjordkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, FC GILSAA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eilif Hjordkvist to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Cléber Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham Railers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 68 played minutes FC GILSAA got a freekick which was hit by Samson Meistrup. FC GILSAA's Niklas Overs was substituted for Lars Nørtoft. In the 68th match minute, FC GILSAA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samson Meistrup to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Salomon Barild successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of FC GILSAA booed when Birmingham Railers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Forlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cléber Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birmingham Railers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salomon Barild breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléber Abraão in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salomon Barild saved FC GILSAA from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Birmingham Railers FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
