Luiz Paulo Albuquerque started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Checa. Durvalino Prata's late challenge caught a ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Prata helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Durvalino Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Zé Pedro de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Monclús's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Zé Pedro de Queirós skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 10 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Sanches came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Albuquerque in the 12th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save America Futebol Clube SP from getting a goal against them. After 15th play minutes Guido Carrillo shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Zé Pedro de Queirós and just under the crossbar into goal. Tautvydas Mickevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Pedro de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 played minutes America Futebol Clube SP got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo das Neves. After having played for 37 minutes, André Monclús managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Monclús was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, America Futebol Clube SP's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Guido Carrillo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Genaro Mercurio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zé Pedro de Queirós in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Genaro Mercurio's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Zé Pedro de Queirós - 2-0 was put on the score board in the 61st minute. André Monclús took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Pedro de Queirós. Zé Pedro de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Perivaldo das Neves hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. André Monclús took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Pedro de Queirós. Zé Pedro de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 75th minute, André Monclús left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Monclús in the 78th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Zé Pedro de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Carrillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Pedro de Queirós having to make a save. If André Monclús had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Guido Carrillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had played much better football throughout.
