Michalis Svirkos started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Seychell in the 8th minute of play forced KAFSONAS F.C.'s goalkeeper Telis Ikonomou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kosmas Kouroupetroglou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clayton Gerada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Angelo Trigona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telis Ikonomou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Seychell kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, KAFSONAS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Trigona came free, but Telis Ikonomou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, KAFSONAS F.C.'s Dimitris Kosmidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clayton Gerada. Clayton Gerada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Telis Ikonomou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Seychell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lefteris Alexoulis came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the KAFSONAS F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lefteris Alexoulis couldn't finish the play. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michalis Svirkos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Robert Seychell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Telis Ikonomou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Michalis Svirkos took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Clayton Gerada to make any attempt to save it. Lefteris Alexoulis came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Clayton Gerada could save by the left post. KAFSONAS F.C.'s Telis Ikonomou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Miggiani in the 39th minute of play. Telis Ikonomou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Seychell in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Lefteris Alexoulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KAFSONAS F.C. and the Seraċini Għawdxin players grew even worse after the yellow card.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Miggiani was the one to do the kick off. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kosmas Kouroupetroglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Telis Ikonomou made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Andrew Miggiani sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Andrew Miggiani took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Telis Ikonomou to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to KAFSONAS F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Michalis Svirkos hit a great ball. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Kosmidis in the 74th minute of play. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kosmas Kouroupetroglou in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, KAFSONAS F.C.'s goalkeeper Telis Ikonomou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Trigona. Telis Ikonomou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Seychell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes KAFSONAS F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Kosmidis. Stathis Bozidis charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stathis Bozidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to KAFSONAS F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Stathis Bozidis hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Andrew Miggiani got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Petros Vidalis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Seraċini Għawdxin's Robert Seychell got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, KAFSONAS F.C.'s goalkeeper Telis Ikonomou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Trigona. Kosmas Kouroupetroglou's late challenge caught a Seraċini Għawdxin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kosmas Kouroupetroglou helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Kosmas Kouroupetroglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Seraċini Għawdxin's Robert Seychell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Telis Ikonomou. Telis Ikonomou yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The Seraċini Għawdxin players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
