After 12 played minutes, Heavenly Hooters's Saverio Ribeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeledon Ferran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Heavenly Hooters reached it. When Brandon Wright came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Heavenly Hooters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brandon Wright couldn't finish the play. Terremoto FC's Zeledon Ferran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Terremoto FC from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Ferran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Kevin Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terremoto FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Mirande in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Nemesio Txilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saverio Ribeiro, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Chabier in the 41st minute of play. Terremoto FC's Zeledon Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Wright in the 42nd minute of play. Heavenly Hooters's Saverio Ribeiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeledon Ferran in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cornelio Hermelando made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Hugo Mirande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terremoto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heavenly Hooters the free kick. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Terremoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Melquiades Hurko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Rusby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Ferran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Ribeiro in the 59th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Terremoto FC defense, Shane Beesley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Ferran. The Terremoto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Ferran should have stopped the shot. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Camron Blain replaced Marc Armstrong. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Terremoto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Pes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Todd Connery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Terremoto FC's goalie and right to Camron Blain. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Terremoto FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Heavenly Hooters's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
