When Sven Melander fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wargön's protests and gave Sven Melander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Sven Melander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Wargön booed when MAN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes, Wargön's Andreas Back shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godofredo Abella came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wargön reached it. Godofredo Abella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Boklund in the 9th minute. Örjan Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariusz Kaczanka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Örjan Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariusz Kaczanka in the 17th minute of the match. Godofredo Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Lange in the 18th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Bengt-Rune Törnkvist put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Godofredo Abella. In the 26th match minute, MAN FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Hernando to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Back got free with Godofredo Abella in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Stig-Ove Bruhn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bengt-Rune Törnkvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Godofredo Abella could save by the left post. Mariusz Kaczanka scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Örjan Söderström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Örjan Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Hurko in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariusz Kaczanka made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Wargön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Bruhn to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Rik struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Örjan Söderström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAN FC. Godofredo Abella was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stig-Ove Bruhn's late challenge caught a MAN FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
