Martin Švácha might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Matorin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Švácha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Guntademaro Goyenechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Velásquez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Almazarrón getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jusepe Quintero hit a great ball. Teofan Bozadzhiyski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donato Matorin. Almazarrón's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anselmo Johans's late challenge caught a Almazarrón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Johans helped the player get up and apologised. Anselmo Johans hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, General Velásquez's goal looked a bit too open when Almarín Leal came free, but Rolf Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Almazarrón's Donato Matorin got control of the ball when Apolo Irigoyen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Almazarrón's Donato Matorin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Almazarrón from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Apolo Irigoyen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Almazarrón defense, Guntademaro Goyenechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Matorin. The Almazarrón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Matorin should have stopped the shot. Donato Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 42nd minute of the match. Apolo Irigoyen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Donato Matorin made a huge save. The General Velásquez fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Japón was the one to do the kick off. Arnold Schwarzenegger hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Guntademaro Goyenechea notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Almazarrón's Donato Matorin. Donato Matorin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Guntademaro Goyenechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Matorin was relentless in the 58th minute of the game.
