Siro Eduino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-0. In the 39th minute, Guntademaro Goyenechea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Siro Eduino. The goal made the score 8-0. 42 minutes into the match, Guntademaro Goyenechea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siro Eduino. La Coruña FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guntademaro Goyenechea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After 45 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Apolo Irigoyen made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siro Eduino was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 10-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koen Van der Hoeven to make the kick off.
