Cecilio Uxio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorci Viola. PLUMIN were furious when Tomás Gilabert was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PLUMIN! 13 minutes into the game, Beppe Zoff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cecilio Uxio. Beppe Zoff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oberst-Wilhelm Jääskeläinen in the 24th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Uxio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Toninelli in the 30th minute of the match. Edmondo Bertini hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Arturo Bonelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of PLUMIN booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Bonelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute of the match Angelo Romildo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domenico Sabatino skillfully saved the ball. After 41 played minutes PLUMIN got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Henry. Cecilio Uxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Chiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oberst-Wilhelm Jääskeläinen kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Anfilogino Chiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Chiola was the one to do the kick off. Beppe Zoff kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Pablo Vegetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PLUMIN's Amadeo Walme got a free kick in the 56th minute. Cecilio Uxio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Chiola, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jorge Elorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Domenico Sabatino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match, Pablo Vegetti got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domenico Sabatino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cecilio Uxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Chiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Vegetti came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Domenico Sabatino could save by the left post. Anfilogino Chiola took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cecilio Uxio. Cecilio Uxio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sorci Viola's zone, Angelo Romildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal and Angelo Romildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The nice shot from Pablo Vegetti in the 93rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Domenico Sabatino had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Amerigo Toninelli took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cecilio Uxio. Cecilio Uxio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Zoff in the 97th minute of play forced PLUMIN's goalkeeper Cecilio Uxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PLUMIN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
