When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Leonardo Trancoso put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst. Castanheiro SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool FC the free kick. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. José Maria Quadros hit a great ball. After the first half Castanheiro SC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Hélder Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Castanheiro SC's Célio Pena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. José Maria Quadros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst having to make a save. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst was a little too slow when José Maria Quadros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-9. The Liverpool FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Castanheiro SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Castanheiro SC.
