Benito Naldo took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Frances. Claudio Frances dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Silvano Polentzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Eliu in the 11th minute of play. Humberto Eliu scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Frances, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Uzuri came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Polentzi came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Rafe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Madison's Severiano Rafe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Abeitia in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Polentzi came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Naldo in the 28th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Claudio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes, Braulio Vito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Temperley and the Madison players grew even worse after the yellow card. Braulio Vito hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Todor to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Frances didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benito Naldo went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Claudio Frances took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Claudio Frances tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Hernan Uzuri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Frances was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After the first half Madison were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Braulio Vito made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Temperley's zone, Humberto Eliu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Frances came out of the goal and Humberto Eliu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Baldomero Sadurni fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Temperley's protests and gave Baldomero Sadurni a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Humberto Eliu could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Claudio Frances however easily saved by the left post. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Polentzi in the 55th minute of play. Claudio Frances was a little too slow when Benito Naldo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-6. Madison made a substitution. Nunez Guillelmus replaced Faustino Avellaneda. When Madison's Benito Naldo in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Temperley's goalie prevented a goal. In the 67th minute, Hernan Uzuri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claudio Frances. The goal made the score 0-7. Claudio Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Uzuri in the 71st minute of the match. Humberto Eliu came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudio Frances could save by the left post. Claudio Frances came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Madison's Benito Naldo. But to his dismay, Benito Naldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Braulio Vito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Madison's Silvano Polentzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Frances narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Hernan Uzuri took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Claudio Frances to make any attempt to save it. Benito Naldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Hernan Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Frances was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Hernan Uzuri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hernan Uzuri really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10.
