Nemesio Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Jordy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Loco Cabezon's Arnulfo Jakobe got a free kick in the 13th minute. The supporters of Velez sarsfield booed when Loco Cabezon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Quin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gabriel Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venancio Abeitia charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Pascual Sanchez came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Velez sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Sanchez couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Iratxo in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Jordy in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Iratxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Velez sarsfield's goalie and right to Ernesto Remicio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Velez sarsfield's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 43rd minute, Baldomiro Quin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nemesio Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Iratxo was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Jordy in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nemesio Marques saved Velez sarsfield from getting behind. In the 55th minute, Cayetano Jordy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nemesio Marques. The goal made the score 0-2. If Cayetano Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Gaufred struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Nemesio Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loco Cabezon. After having played for 64 minutes, Cayetano Jordy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loco Cabezon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Jordy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Loco Cabezon's Baldomiro Quin in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nemesio Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Jordy, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes Velez sarsfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Urre who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Felipe Urre got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nemesio Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st play minute Ernesto Remicio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nemesio Marques. 0-3. Gerardo Cortez hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes, Cayetano Jordy made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Velez sarsfield's Nemesio Marques tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 0-5 became the score in the 85th minute when Cristo Gaufred elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gerardo Cortez hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Remicio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nemesio Marques. That made the score 0-6 in the 90 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Gaufred in the 95th minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Nemesio Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Velez sarsfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Loco Cabezon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
