Eugenio Cuadrado's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Cuadrado helped the player get up and apologised. Eugenio Cuadrado hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Capivariano F.C.'s players were relieved. 21 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s goalkeeper Zézinho Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stellan Wallmark. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Zézinho Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stellan Wallmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Luís Fábio Neto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emil Duset came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Fábio Neto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Neto in the 62nd minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Emil Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Lind replaced Mohamed Salah. 96 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jarl Axelsson came free, but Zézinho Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Sundborn IF had been in control for most of the match, Capivariano F.C. still came away with the win.
