Alexandrino Gameiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Romo having to interfere. Saturnino Romo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Alexandrino Gameiro sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saturnino Romo saved Grosso United from getting behind. Saturnino Romo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Txilar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. When Baumar Ontanilla came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baumar Ontanilla couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Stojan Krhan hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Grosso United's Virgilio Quin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serbülent Baysan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Grosso United's Saturnino Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baumar Ontanilla in the 28th minute of play. Reynaldo Pietro scored 4-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serbülent Baysan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandrino Gameiro got free with Saturnino Romo in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute Vitaliy Fedchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natalio Peyo to strike the kick off in the second half. Saturnino Romo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Baumar Ontanilla. But to his dismay, Baumar Ontanilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Alexandrino Gameiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saturnino Romo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandrino Gameiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Grosso United defense, Felix Txilar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saturnino Romo. The Grosso United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saturnino Romo should have stopped the shot. FC Anderlecht Huachipato made a substitution. Victorio Monte replaced Baumar Ontanilla. In the 65th minute, Natalio Peyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Alexandrino Gameiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 73rd minute of play forced Grosso United's goalkeeper Saturnino Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Grosso United's goal looked a bit too open when Ilan Tissandier came free, but Saturnino Romo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Alexandrino Gameiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Vitaliy Fedchenko made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Romo. Grosso United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Grosso United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Stojan Krhan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saturnino Romo skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Alarico San Martín hit a great ball. Saturnino Romo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 91st minute of the match. Saturnino Romo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandrino Gameiro in the 92nd minute of play. Stojan Krhan, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
