Curumalán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Girona FC the free kick. Toni Vera was a little too slow when Hernán Losada got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Curumalán AFC's Gabriel Avalos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toni Vera. That made the score 5-0 after 44 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Avalos to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Curumalán AFC's Diego Chorche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Gabriel Avalos's late challenge caught a Girona FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Avalos helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Curumalán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Avalos. In the 59th minute Diego Chorche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Avalos came free, but Toni Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Hernán Losada notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Girona FC's Toni Vera.
