Barnaba Ogrodowicz hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Wladyslaw Lampa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Bucuresti -MM- the free kick. Edgar Vlas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tadeusz Cielencki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8thth minute of the game Ivan Pășcuțoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Tadeusz Cielencki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Mircea Cenușă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeusz Cielencki. Arsenal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mircea Cenușă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Dragoş Mustea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Costel Năstase got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeusz Cielencki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Cenușă in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Mircea Cenușă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Tadeusz Cielencki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeusz Cielencki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mircea Cenușă's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Tadeusz Cielencki came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Edgar Vlas. But to his dismay, Edgar Vlas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Mircea Cenușă fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s protests and gave Mircea Cenușă a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Steaua Bucuresti -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Cenușă to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Cielencki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Cenușă, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Mircea Cenușă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tadeusz Cielencki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Mustea in the 38th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Tadeusz Cielencki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arsenal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mircea Cenușă was slow to take the kick. During this time Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s players had a chance to rest. Mircea Cenușă made a great header on Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s corner, it was just that Arsenal's Tadeusz Cielencki managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Steaua Bucuresti -MM- getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edgar Vlas hit a great ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Tanek Gierasik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tanek Gierasik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeusz Cielencki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Vlas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Steaua Bucuresti -MM- were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mircea Cenușă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Wladyslaw Lampa hit a great ball. Dragoş Mustea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadeusz Cielencki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Mircea Cenușă succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 54th playminute. Tadeusz Cielencki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Cenușă in the 57th minute of the match. Mircea Cenușă had several of the Arsenal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Tadeusz Cielencki as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 63rd minute Mircea Cenușă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Cielencki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Rânceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Madajczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Stasio Serwach hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Stasio Serwach's late challenge caught a Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stasio Serwach helped the player get up and apologised. Stasio Serwach kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Edgar Vlas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tadeusz Cielencki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Costel Năstase fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Pășcuțoiu got free with Tadeusz Cielencki in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeusz Cielencki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costel Năstase, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Tadeusz Cielencki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Vlas. 89 minutes into the game, Cristi Ispirescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal the free kick. Steaua Bucuresti -MM- were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
