Martin Munter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Trespuentes in the 6th minute of play. Ferdi Top showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes of play, DALO S.C.'s Loco Alves made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Munter was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Jerzy Lewandowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greger Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ferdi Top tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdi Top stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Åke Dalman's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Ferdi Top showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Mager in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rikard Hake during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rikard Hake hit a great ball. Martin Munter had great luck who in the 27thth minute grab hold of the ball when Norberto Trespuentes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After taking down the ball on DALO S.C.'s corner Norberto Trespuentes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Munter quite easily take care of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Arguiso came free, but Martin Munter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Trespuentes in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Munter saved Hartlepool from getting behind. Martin Munter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Trespuentes's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in DALO S.C.'s zone, Greger Åberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdi Top came out of the goal and Greger Åberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, DALO S.C.'s Jerzy Lewandowski got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ferdi Top took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Dalman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hartlepool's goalkeeper Martin Munter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greger Åberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Trespuentes was the one to do the kick off. With 51 minutes on the clock, Jerzy Lewandowski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of DALO S.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. DALO S.C.'s Norberto Trespuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute Norberto Trespuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Munter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Greger Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Munter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Hartlepool booed when DALO S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Mauleon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Dalman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Ferdi Top skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Raúl Mauleon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, DALO S.C.'s Ferdi Top got control of the ball when Åke Dalman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dennis Dum fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hartlepool's protests and gave Dennis Dum a yellow card for diving instead. Dennis Dum kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Rikard Hake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ferdi Top tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åke Dalman might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdi Top. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Åke Dalman ran back to his position shaking his head.
