The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jermaine Brearley kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Paiva in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronan Marler saved Real Death Ducks from getting behind. If Ronaldinho Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Real Death Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deon Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Real Death Ducks's John Hassell got a free kick in the 27th minute. Nilson Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronan Marler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Ronan Marler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Ronaldinho Cruz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ronan Marler to make any attempt to save it. Manuel Paiva did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ronan Marler 35 minutes into the match. Ronan Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Paiva in the 40th minute of the match. Manuel Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronan Marler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Lawrence Banks made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, A A Arizona's Ronaldinho Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronan Marler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 56 minutes, Manuel Paiva made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The A A Arizona fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when A A Arizona's Manuel Paiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 65 minutes into the game, Hélder Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A A Arizona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Death Ducks the free kick. After a rather tough play, A A Arizona's Hélder Pinho got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ronan Marler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Paiva's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Ronaldinho Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ronan Marler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 72 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Pinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Banks in the 73rd minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Edson de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Real Death Ducks defense, Ronaldinho Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronan Marler. The Real Death Ducks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronan Marler should have stopped the shot. Ronan Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Paiva in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Manuel Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. A A Arizona's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan Marler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Manuel Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the A A Arizona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Paiva couldn't finish the play. Ronan Marler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 minutes of play, A A Arizona's Manuel Paiva made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronan Marler was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ronaldinho Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the A A Arizona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho Cruz couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A A Arizona had played much better football throughout.
