Quirino Courtemanche came out and tried to block the shot, but Ged Pope slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Dion Kerridge charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dion Kerridge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, T H F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Kerridge to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th match minute, T H F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Crossley to maneuver through the defense. Clive Cheesman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Quirino Courtemanche made a huge save. T H F C's Ivan Stone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Schwein in the 13th minute of play. Ross Schwein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Stone having to interfere. The supporters of SalentoUnited booed when T H F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clive Cheesman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quirino Courtemanche made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ged Pope sent off a good shot on target. T H F C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garth Wardell in the 22nd minute. The corner led T H F C's Garth Wardell to fire away a dangerous shot which Quirino Courtemanche despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Quirino Courtemanche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ged Pope in the 23rd minute. Ged Pope scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quirino Courtemanche, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Philip Davenport hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Quirino Courtemanche was a little too slow when Philip Davenport got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-0. Ged Popes short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Quirino Courtemanche to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in SalentoUnited's zone, Dion Kerridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quirino Courtemanche came out of the goal and Dion Kerridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SalentoUnited's Quirino Courtemanche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SalentoUnited from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Crossley in the 40th minute of play forced SalentoUnited's goalkeeper Quirino Courtemanche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by SalentoUnited's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Garth Wardell was slow to take the kick. During this time T H F C's players had a chance to rest. Quirino Courtemanche was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Ged Pope capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ged Pope really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ged Pope to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SalentoUnited's Morten Hjulmand got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the SalentoUnited defense, Roger Crossley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. The SalentoUnited fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quirino Courtemanche should have stopped the shot. Quirino Courtemanche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ged Pope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Roger Crossley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quirino Courtemanche was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Quirino Courtemanche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Davenport in the 62nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the SalentoUnited defense, Dion Kerridge kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. The SalentoUnited fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quirino Courtemanche should have stopped the shot. After having played for 72 minutes, Ben Gibbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. T H F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Gibbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ross Schwein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Ged Pope had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. SalentoUnited's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ged Pope was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Quirino Courtemanche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ged Pope went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. After 84 minutes of play, T H F C's Ben Gibbs made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quirino Courtemanche was left in no man's land by his defense there! SalentoUnited's Quirino Courtemanche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ged Pope in the 86th minute of play. Quirino Courtemanche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Crossley went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. 91 minutes into the match, Roger Crossley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quirino Courtemanche. SalentoUnited's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Crossley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. In the 95th minute, Chris Nightingale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The T H F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 14-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. T H F C fully deserved thier win.
