The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If André Luís Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Carlos Alberto de Sousa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ulises Garin to make any attempt to save it. In the 10th match minute, Chivos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Llorienzo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Futbol Club RRFV booed when Chivos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Dacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto de Sousa in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Garin saved Chivos from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Carlos Alberto de Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Garin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Chivos's Ulises Garin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Chivos from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Orlanda in the 22nd minute of play forced Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Diamantino Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chivos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Alberto de Sousa 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Dida da Cunha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulises Garin. That made the score 4-0 in the 28 minute of play. A collision led to Chivos getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mauricio Adrio hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Ramon Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Garin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Alberto de Sousa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 42 minute of play. Ulises Garin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose Orlanda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chivos's Ulises Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Sanches in the 50th minute of play. If Benjamin Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Hoffmann hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Diamantino Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Napier, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Chivos's Ulises Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Martins in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, André Luís Martins notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Chivos's Ulises Garin. Ulises Garin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida da Cunha during the 68th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Garin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Futbol Club RRFV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomé Martins in the 82nd minute. The corner led Futbol Club RRFV's Tomé Martins to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulises Garin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 84th minute Carlos Alberto de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Carlos Alberto de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futbol Club RRFV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 90th minute, Leonel Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Garin. Chivos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. In the 93rd minute, Leonel Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Garin.
