José Maria Teixeira started the match with the kick off. Arlindo Luz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 2nd playminute. Eulalio Llorian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Valle in the 6th minute of the match. Álvaro Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Valle in the 10th minute of play forced Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Eulalio Llorian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wesley Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wesley Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vae Victis!!'s Wesley Botelho got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Lopes in the 17th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Eulalio Llorian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29thth minute of the game Valdemar Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vae Victis!!'s Eulalio Llorian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thiago Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Lopes in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Motta came free, but Thiago Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Vae Victis!!'s José Maria Teixeira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Álvaro Travassos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Valdemar Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Wesley Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Valdemar Valle sped through Vae Victis!!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eulalio Llorian. Reginaldo Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdemar Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Valdemar Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdemar Valle struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Eulalio Llorian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Prudente. After a defensive mix-up in Vae Victis!!'s zone, Álvaro Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Llorian came out of the goal and Álvaro Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, José Maria Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vae Victis!! booed when Grêmio Prudente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Valdemar Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Josué Batista hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg Moore. 77 minutes in the game, Greg Moore dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Falcão Garcia. In the 79th minute, Greg Moore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greg Moore to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eulalio Llorian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Valdemar Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Llorian was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Valdemar Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Prudente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Grêmio Prudente were the better team. Grêmio Prudente's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
