Alejandro Raphael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Smiley in the 14th minute of play forced Mystyc FC's goalkeeper Alejandro Raphael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mystyc FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Phil Vine was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Miami Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. Jorge Cordeiro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Mystyc FC's goal looked a bit too open when Merrill Banks came free, but Alejandro Raphael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merrill Banks scored 0-3 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Raphael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alejandro Raphael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merrill Banks in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Racing Miami Futbol Club were awarded a corner. Phil Vine went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Racing Miami Futbol Club's Phil Vine to fire away a dangerous shot which Alejandro Raphael despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rigoberto Belo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Hector Indar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Phil Vine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Vine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Raphael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Merrill Banks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Raphael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phil Vine charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phil Vine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mystyc FC booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phil Vine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Quincy Walker got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Shane Smiley made the kick off in the second half.
