To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Martin Mangion made a precise shot to the right of Pål Nyman. Real Matrei FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Pål Nyman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Real Matrei FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sliema Dragons FC were winning 0-9.

Pål Nyman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-15. Martin Mangion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pål Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Ryan Grima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Ryan Grima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pål Nyman. The goal made the score 0-16. Pål Nyman was a little too slow when Martin Mangion got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-17. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Mangion in the 91st minute of play forced Real Matrei FC's goalkeeper Pål Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Börje Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pål Nyman. That made the score 0-19 after 96 minutes of play.
