Hipolito Calhoun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristiaan Van den Haute, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Hipolito Calhoun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qiu Feng Guo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Batistuta's late challenge caught a CLAYMORE COUNTRY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michel Batistuta helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CLAYMORE COUNTRY booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Batistuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Qiu Feng Guo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hipolito Calhoun. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Qiu Feng Guo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hipolito Calhoun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Bob Leckie was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Purple Talents's goal looked a bit too open when Earl Blair came free, but Steve Van der Veeken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Rocco Duffet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Steve Van der Veeken came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CLAYMORE COUNTRY reached it. In the 61st minute, Qiu Feng Guo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. CLAYMORE COUNTRY made a substitution. Florencio Baker replaced Neil Jacques. Qiu Feng Guo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hipolito Calhoun having to make a save. In the 65th minute Qiu Feng Guo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Calhoun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Purple Talents made a substitution. Reemy Godefroid replaced Michel Batistuta. In the 71st minute, Qiu Feng Guo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purple Talents fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Emmitt Cabrera was substituted for Earl Blair. Purple Talents's Steve Van der Veeken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Leckie in the 79th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Qiu Feng Guo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hipolito Calhoun saved CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting behind. Qiu Feng Guo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hipolito Calhoun came out and tried to block the shot, but Qiu Feng Guo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 88th minute. Qiu Feng Guo struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Hipolito Calhoun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purple Talents. After 93 minutes, Rory Sheppard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLAYMORE COUNTRY and the Purple Talents players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rory Sheppard kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Purple Talents eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
