Claudio Gentile's shot from long distance in the 3rd minute was not bad at all, but 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Sefa Rahmet knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 4 minutes into the match, Leontin Titulescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Sefa Rahmet. Sefa Rahmet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sefa Rahmet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urs Nebunu in the 10th minute. In the 17th match minute, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Ali Burçak to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Pârcălab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdi Mehmet Türk, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Nuno Bettencourt got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Mert Kerdiğe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Pârcălab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mert Kerdiğe in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basarab Pârcălab prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mert Kerdiğe sped through Carpathians's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basarab Pârcălab. In the 32nd minute Mert Kerdiğe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Pârcălab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sefa Rahmet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Tătăruşanu in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdi Mehmet Türk to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Alin Tătăruşanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB booed when Carpathians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Titulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alin Tătăruşanu to make the kick off. Claudio Gentile took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sefa Rahmet. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute, Enis Behiç Nedim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Leontin Titulescu got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Alin Tătăruşanu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Tătăruşanu couldn't finish the play. Nuno Bettencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Alin Tătăruşanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basarab Pârcălab stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vural Sağlamer's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. If Alin Tătăruşanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Titulescu came free, but Sefa Rahmet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vural Sağlamer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Basarab Pârcălab made a huge save. Alin Tătăruşanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sefa Rahmet having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Alin Tătăruşanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab got control of the ball when Vural Sağlamer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basarab Pârcălab made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Vural Sağlamer sent off a good shot on target. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
