In the 10th minute, Henning Blomberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Iaki struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Georg Vallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Calamuchita. 12 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's Roy Bennet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejandro Emesto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match, Carolo Presebal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Georg Vallin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. C.A. Calamuchita's Alejandro Emesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Bennet in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Calamuchita's zone, Roy Bennet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Emesto came out of the goal and Roy Bennet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Iaki charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Iaki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes C.A. Calamuchita got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Iaki. The audience was convinced that Roy Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejandro Emesto was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The throw-in from Marcelino Betadur in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Protegéerna's Bo-Erik Springfält. Carolo Presebal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 33rd playminute. Alejandro Emesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Bennet's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Carolo Presebal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Georg Vallin made a huge save. With an all-out effort, C.A. Calamuchita's Georg Vallin threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfredo Figueroa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Figueroa in the 46th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Georg Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When C.A. Calamuchita's Wilfredo Figueroa in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Protegéerna's goalie prevented a goal. Protegéerna's Georg Vallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Berbiz in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, C.A. Calamuchita's Carolo Presebal got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Alejandro Emesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo-Erik Springfält. Georg Vallin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Berbiz in the 58th minute of the match. C.A. Calamuchita's Braulio Berbiz managed to work through Protegéerna's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Braulio Berbiz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 59 minutes, Olof Löfkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Protegéerna and the C.A. Calamuchita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Olof Löfkvist. Georg Vallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Presebal in the 61st minute of play. Protegéerna's Roy Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Protegéerna's Oscar Löfgren was substituted for Fredrik Billberg. Roy Bennet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Protegéerna's Roy Gallberg was substituted for Roy Bennet. 79 minutes into the match, Roy Gallberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Emesto. C.A. Calamuchita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roy Gallberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 81st match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erling Skarkman to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match Eliseo Iaki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Vallin skillfully saved the ball. Georg Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Figueroa in the 88th minute of play. C.A. Calamuchita's Alejandro Emesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Calamuchita from getting a goal against them.
