Luizão Diniz started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Wennerqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmílson Simão. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Isidoro Figueiras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Diogo de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Figueiras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fluffe BK were furious when Sivert Strömqvist was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sivert Strömqvist hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Fluminense DF's Jeremias Maranhense tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Bohlin came free, but Edmílson Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Johan Björkman kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Fluffe BK got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Svensson. Edmílson Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Mattsson in the 40th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klas Skog made a kick off. Claes Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fluffe BK's Isidoro Figueiras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo de Mendonça in the 57th minute of play. Fluminense DF's Edmílson Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Mattsson in the 58th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Fluminense DF got a freekick which was hit by Guto Vinhas. After 63 minutes, Kurt Bohlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fluffe BK and the Fluminense DF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fluffe BK's Kurt Bohlin got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute, Kurt Bohlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fluffe BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hubert Svensson during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmílson Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Bohlin in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Fluminense DF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Ruben to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo de Mendonça got free with Isidoro Figueiras in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Klas Skog blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Simão having to make a save. In the 88th match minute, Fluminense DF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Torres to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Fluminense DF got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Maranhense.
