The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Niels Willendrup was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Duncan Nichols showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. If Duncan Nichols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan Nichols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Willendrup having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, ForestFire's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Rubaun came free, but Reed Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Jeffrey Yoshioka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niels Willendrup was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jeffrey Yoshioka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Niels Willendrup made a huge save. When Eddy Amos fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ForestFire's protests and gave Eddy Amos a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Amos. The audience was convinced that Kaj Rubaun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reed Molina was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 30th minute of the match Owe Thorkells shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reed Molina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frederik Faurbye kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Randers A.F.C. booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lane Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niels Willendrup made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jeffrey Yoshioka sent off a good shot on target. Lamar Knapp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niels Willendrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Knapp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Niels Willendrup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffrey Yoshioka in the 61st minute of play. Duncan Nichols received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Niels Willendrup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niels Willendrup came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by ForestFire's Jeffrey Yoshioka. But to his dismay, Jeffrey Yoshioka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 74th match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Rubaun to maneuver through the defense. Niels Willendrup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Nichols, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Randers A.F.C.'s Niels Willendrup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Amos in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, ForestFire's Jeffrey Yoshioka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niels Willendrup made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 85 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kristofer Mark. In the 87th minute Duncan Nichols shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niels Willendrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lane Martinez scored 7-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niels Willendrup, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaj Rubaun charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaj Rubaun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Rubaun to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Jeffrey Yoshioka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, ForestFire's Jeffrey Yoshioka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niels Willendrup made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. There was no doubt that ForestFire were the better team. ForestFire's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
