Vaklin Zhablyanov scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olle Tunander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Tencho Mihalev in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VfL Wolfsburg's Godofredo Fonda. In the 20th minute, Tencho Mihalev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olle Tunander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alfons Delins short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Nikola Drinov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jerry Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Laziali booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marouane Kiefer didn't get a good kick on the ball. VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristofor Ikonomov in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Laziali got a corner. VfL Wolfsburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rostislav Filchovski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rostislav Filchovski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander did a great save. In the 43rd minute of the match VfL Wolfsburg got a corner. Laziali's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Martin Hedlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. VfL Wolfsburg's Martin Hedlund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nikola Drinov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. VfL Wolfsburg's Alfons Delin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The VfL Wolfsburg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laziali were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Vaklin Zhablyanov made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Laziali getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Vlado Tarandzhiyski hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, VfL Wolfsburg's Martin Hedlund tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristofor Ikonomov in the 59th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikola Drinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Delin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VfL Wolfsburg's Alfons Delin got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Yin Bing Ming hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes, Laziali's Rostislav Filchovski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olle Tunander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laziali reached it. In the 65th minute Naum Mentov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaklin Zhablyanov kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 67thth minute. Though ot was a great shot VfL Wolfsburg's keeper Olle Tunander was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 68th minute of the match Laziali got a corner. VfL Wolfsburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rostislav Filchovski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Grigor Dombev almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VfL Wolfsburg's Olle Tunander did a great save. Jerry Fristedt's late challenge caught a Laziali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Fristedt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, VfL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Fristedt to maneuver through the defense. Olle Tunander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tencho Mihalev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. Dráuzio Recife hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Fonda. Vaklin Zhablyanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Tunander having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Godofredo Fonda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VfL Wolfsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laziali the free kick. Godofredo Fonda kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When Naum Mentov came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Laziali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naum Mentov couldn't finish the play.
