After 8 minutes of play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Aureo Valenciaga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Alberto Germano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Ádám Dobos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Maraponga FAC's Carlos Alberto Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureo Valenciaga in the 14th minute of play. Tadzio Araico kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's goal looked a bit too open when Aureo Valenciaga came free, but Carlos Alberto Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ranolfo Dragranda's late challenge caught a Maraponga FAC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ranolfo Dragranda helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Imperio Catatumbo de Lara getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ranolfo Dragranda hit a great ball. Ieltxu Orbaneja was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danilo Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 23 minute of play. When Ranolfo Dragranda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. After 30 played minutes, Maraponga FAC's Sheldon Mendieta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ieltxu Orbaneja came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maraponga FAC reached it. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Santos in the 31st minute of play. Aureo Valenciaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 played minutes Maraponga FAC got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Ba. Tadzio Araico was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguez Toresano in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara booed when Maraponga FAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Ba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Alvin Brenner kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Carlos Alberto Germano threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvin Brenner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Carlos Alberto Germano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alvin Brenner struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Carlos Alberto Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperio Catatumbo de Lara. If Alvin Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Maraponga FAC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Ba to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alberto Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Brenner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvin Brenner in the 71st minute of play forced Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Alberto Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Brenner in the 76th minute of play. Cristiano De La Iglesia might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alberto Germano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano De La Iglesia ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Alberto Germano made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Cristiano De La Iglesia sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Maraponga FAC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gualter Vander hit a great ball. Alvin Brenner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Germano having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Virgílio Sergipano notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja. Ieltxu Orbaneja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
