Dimitris Papazacharias charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Carlos Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Grigorakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Graciano Flores might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefanos Manolopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Graciano Flores ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Grigorakos in the 29th minute of the match. Campus Douro Academy's Américo Ramires was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 53rd minute Michalis Theodorakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loukas Kallitsis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Graciano Flores's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefanos Manolopoulos was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game.
