If Rodrigo Mora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Eugenio Froila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paolo Mantzio struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Zacarias Erdiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Messina. Fabian Rodas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Erdiano having to make a save. Fabian Rodas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zacarias Erdiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Deportivo Messina's Paolo Mantzio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Tanio, made in the 89th minute of the game. When Fabian Rodas fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Messina's protests and gave Fabian Rodas a yellow card for diving instead. 95 minutes into the match, Eugenio Froila dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Javier Roderigo, 0-6. If Romeo Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
