When Vasile Hâncu fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s protests and gave Vasile Hâncu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of TaTeRo Boys booed when FC PIETROSUL -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Hâncu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Vegetti in the 24th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Călin Izvoranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Călin Izvoranu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Vegetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Sharkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Busuioceanu in the 30th minute of play. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Călin Izvoranu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Vegetti in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Vegetti in the 41st minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Călin Izvoranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Matias Vegetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Izvoranu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Novak Djokovic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Călin Izvoranu made a huge save.
