The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Thor Gaarder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Borubar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Kjønstad BF got a corner. Rothenburg SSA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Americo Panfilo ran over to the corner to take the kick. 7 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Toma Lechev came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toma Lechev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Artur Borubar made a huge save. Artur Borubar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toma Lechev, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With his leg Artur Borubar managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Kjønstad BF's Toma Lechev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute Filip Majewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarle Volden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toma Lechev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Artur Borubar made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Thor Gaarder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artur Borubar. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Vrobel came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toma Lechev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toma Lechev. 42 minutes into the match, Kjønstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Frodyma came free, but Jarle Volden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Borubar came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Kjønstad BF's Toma Lechev. But to his dismay, Toma Lechev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thor Gaarder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jørund Leira hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Kjønstad BF's Jarle Volden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigiusz Rosiewicz in the 59th minute of play. Toma Lechev might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Borubar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toma Lechev ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Toma Lechev came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Kjønstad BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Kannemann to maneuver through the defense. Rothenburg SSA's Tobiasz Gniewek was substituted for Mariusz Tamulewicz. In the 70th minute Remigiusz Rosiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarle Volden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Rothenburg SSA got a freekick which was hit by Michal Michalko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toma Lechev in the 75th minute of play forced Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michal Michalko during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kjønstad BF's Reidar Nordhaug was substituted for Toma Lechev. In the 78th minute, Michal Michalko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rothenburg SSA's Artur Borubar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Arne Solevåg in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rothenburg SSA's Michal Michalko got a free kick in the 81st minute. Artur Borubar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reidar Nordhaug, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute, Reidar Nordhaug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Borubar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Artur Borubar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reidar Nordhaug, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 94 minutes of play, Kjønstad BF's Reidar Nordhaug made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Borubar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kjønstad BF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
