The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olaf Lewandowski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Cichowski in the 43rd minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genílson Marques hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Czeslaw Cichowski in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
