Jan Schulz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thibaut Mazieres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominique Virapin in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Hollywood's goalkeeper Jan Schulz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yann Scott to strike the kick off in the second half. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
