In the 9th minute Dráuzio Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquinho Alcântara went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. SinháCity FC's Nico Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Sergipano in the 15th minute of play. If Nando Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pesqueira City's Valdemar Nascimento got a free kick in the 27th minute. SinháCity FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Pesqueira City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horácio Antunes took the corner. After taking down the ball on SinháCity FC's corner Horácio Antunes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivo de Moraes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 34th minute Afonsinho Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nico Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pesqueira City booed when SinháCity FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Silva in the 46th minute. The SinháCity FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pesqueira City were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonsinho Goiano was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Nestor Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. SinháCity FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivo de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonsinho Goiano in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo de Moraes saved Pesqueira City from getting behind. In the 78th match minute, SinháCity FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Pesqueira City's Júlio Carneiro suffered a sprained foot after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Horácio Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pesqueira City made a substitution. Erasmo Linares replaced Júlio Carneiro. In the 82nd minute, Horácio Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Silva in the 87th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Nestor Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ivo de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonsinho Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pesqueira City played a much better game than SinháCity FC and deserved their victory. The SinháCity FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
