Apolo Elequemedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Zbigniew Bielejewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zbigniew Bielejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Santana in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Borowa Rzeszów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Jeziorkowski to maneuver through the defense. Apolo Elequemedo in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zbigniew Bielejewski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 31stth minute of the game Luis Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borowa Rzeszów's Zbigniew Bielejewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jedrzej Gendolla hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Cristo Haritz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Pawlak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olaf Pawlak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Borowa Rzeszów's zone, Octavio Txurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbigniew Bielejewski came out of the goal and Octavio Txurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olaf Pawlak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Cristo Haritz made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Elequemedo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbigniew Bielejewski saved Borowa Rzeszów from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Wojtowicz came free, but Cristo Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Cristo Haritz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olaf Pawlak. When Borowa Rzeszów's Marian Wojtowicz in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Santa Maradona's Cristo Haritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Wojtowicz in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Luis Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Bielejewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Elequemedo in the 90th minute of play forced Borowa Rzeszów's goalkeeper Zbigniew Bielejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Santa Maradona booed when Borowa Rzeszów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jedrzej Gendolla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Elequemedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Zbigniew Bielejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
