St. James Gate F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Berchan Gollogley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AD Pontassolense's Jesualdo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan Gollogley in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Carvalho. Reamann McNamee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, St. James Gate F.C.'s Reamann McNamee got control of the ball when Arthur Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesualdo Maltez came out of the goal and Berchan Gollogley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reamann McNamee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberto Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Bodibeua Lester came free, but Jesualdo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
