In the 62nd play minute Marcelo Marin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonas Aranzubia. 2-2. Vaqueteros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vetusta the free kick. Vaqueteros FC were furious when Juan Bieito was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Vetusta. Andrés-Fernando Navarro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Romeo Dorio. 4-2. Vetusta's Jonas Aranzubia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Lastur in the 86th minute of play. Nicolás Rua hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vetusta's Lain Obis got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Vetusta players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
