Genílson Andrade took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Cenić. Rogério Cenić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Olavo Carioca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Cenić having to make a save. Virgílio Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Zanette in the 28th minute of play. Rogério Cenić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Tony Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Perreptors Revolution's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poetass FC the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Perreptors Revolution was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Arce to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes in the game, Virgílio Zanette fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cássio de Senna having to interfere. Cássio de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Zanette's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Mattos during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Perreptors Revolution booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgílio Zanette succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Zanette to strike the kick off in the second half. When Serafim Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Perreptors Revolution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Vidal couldn't finish the play. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio de Senna was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the match, Virgílio Zanette notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna. Cássio de Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute, Virgílio Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Cabral in the 63rd minute of play. Cássio de Senna came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Perreptors Revolution's Virgílio Zanette. But to his dismay, Virgílio Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Olavo Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério Cenić made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Claudinho Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Virgílio Zanette scored 4-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Rodrigues came free, but Cássio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Virgílio Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Zanette in the 89th minute of the match. Cássio de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Perreptors Revolution's Virgílio Zanette made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Perreptors Revolution made a substitution. Ricardinho Paulista replaced Ruy de Sousa.
