The referee ignored Villa Gordiani's protests and gave Alberigo Biscotti a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yunus Yamaner to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Barone in the 63rd minute of play forced NiğdeBeşiktaş's goalkeeper Fırat Seylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Adriano Barone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fırat Seylan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Amedeo Scarpa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fırat Seylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villa Gordiani's Amedeo Scarpa got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Scarpa. 97 minutes into the match, NiğdeBeşiktaş's goalkeeper Fırat Seylan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Barone. The Villa Gordiani supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villa Gordiani would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
